Our Editorial Mission
At BeginnerFitHome, our mission is to make fitness and nutrition practical for beginners training at home.
We publish clear, actionable content for people starting from zero, with limited time and real-life constraints. Our goal is sustainable progress, not extreme shortcuts.
How We Create Content
- Topic selection: beginner questions and common home-fitness pain points.
- Research: official guidelines, peer-reviewed studies, and trusted health organizations.
- Drafting: plain language, practical steps, and safe progression.
- Internal review: reviewed by Jesus Sotillo for clarity and consistency.
- Publishing checks: links, structure, and readability are reviewed before publishing.
Use of AI
We use AI as a writing and editing aid. All content is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by Jesus Sotillo before publication.
Our Sources Standard
We prioritize peer-reviewed studies, official guidelines, and reputable institutional resources. Practical author experience is allowed when clearly labeled as experience.
- Preferred: PubMed-indexed studies, WHO, ACSM, CDC, NHS, and major dietetics resources.
- Avoided: anonymous claims, low-quality sources, and unsupported sensational advice.
Policy rule: meaningful health/fitness claims should be backed by at least one credible source or explicitly marked as practical author experience.
How We Update Content
We review and update key articles periodically and when needed—especially after new evidence, reader correction requests, or guideline changes.
Where feasible, pages display publication and/or last updated dates.
Affiliate Disclosure and Editorial Independence
BeginnerFitHome aims to keep recommendations independent and user-first. Sponsored content is not a core publishing model today. If affiliate links are used, they are disclosed clearly, and compensation does not determine recommendations.
Health Disclaimer (YMYL)
Content on BeginnerFitHome is educational and informational only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise, nutrition, or weight-loss program.
